March 2020 ushered in a massive change for many industries. Particularly hard hit by the COVID-19 crisis was the dance industry. Around the world studios had to shut their doors. It may be years before things return to normal for this activity, an industry based on close contact. During the lockdown, many dance teachers started embracing video-based teaching methods. The School of Dance represents a way for dance enthusiasts to purchase quality lessons from professionally certified dance teachers in a variety of disciplines. Utilizing a sophisticated Learning Management System, the site allows courses to be broken down into multiple parts, as well as using tests and additional documents to supplement the course. Progress through a course is tracked by the system and when a course is done the student receives a customized certificate of completion.
