New Ikea ad bizarre dance through old movies

Not sure what to make of Britain’s new Ikea ad “Bright Shiny Colours”, released last week to launch the 2013 catalog. The commercial features a woman taking an Alice in Wonderland style trip through the Ikea catalog, with visuals borrowed from movies like Yellow Submarine, Singin’ in the Rain and Flashdance. Bright and interesting, but I don’t really understand how an ad that looks like a woman on a nostalgic acid trip contributes to the brand.
